If my memory is not a mistake, I started my social media addiction from 2006. At first it would be Friendster and Hi5 then Facebook, and I also opened an account at Twitter since it appeared . However at that moment I didn't really enjoy Twitter mainly because at that time it didn't have the feature of messenger. From that period of time until now I never opened my Twitter account again.
In 2016, Trump became the President of the USA, unlike the previous POTUS he became the first POTUS actively engaged in sending Tweets. Undoubtedly, every time he sends a Tweet someone or some group will melt down. However during that period of time, Twitter has always been accused of shadow banning conservative figures which means Twitter limits the possibility of people to Tweet which are written by those conservative figures. However if you are a terrorist group you are still allowed to survive at the platform even though you are promoting real violence.
In order to run away from censorship, multiple new websites have been set up. Now I can give a list of alternative social network sites such as GAB, MEWE, MINDS, GETTR, TRUTH SOCIAL, RUMBLE. All these websites believe in the first amendment which is freedom of speech. I consider myself as a believer in freedom of speech therefore I also open an account at these alternative websites. However after a few months of using GETTR I spotted some weird things happening on this website.
I know GETTR is based in the USA, therefore I don't really expect to see Asian faces on the website. However I encountered quite a lot Asia face account in the website but strangely most of them got one common thing - they all use a background which written NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA REPLACE CURRENT CCP. Then all these accounts also idolise Guo Wengui as their Saviour.
First of all I would emphasise that I am not CCP fans but I am also not interested in supporting an organisation called NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA. The reason is simple: if we want peace in this world then a big CHINA ideology would crush our peace. A disintegrated CHINA would be a peaceful country towards the region and the world. Looking back CHINA history under CCP we clearly see big CHINA ideology tend to create tension in the region the best example would be in recent months CHINA send their fighting jet to disturb TAIWAN airspace.
Maybe someone will argue that CHINA now is ruled by a one party system therefore they are more barbarian compared to democratic countries. If CHINA became a democratic and capitalist country then they would no longer pose a threat to Taiwan or to the region. I would say this idea is silly and clearly indicates a naive understanding of CHINA contemporary culture and history. In CHINA history we would see she belongs to a land power country which means they focus more on territory gaining. However, this kind of thirst for land exploitation only happens when the CHINA faces a polite neighbour country such as Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries. While the CHINA faced Russia, the CHINA lost all their ball on defending its own soil.
Moreover we also had to realise that democracy sometimes means the tyranny of the masses, therefore if CHINA really becomes a democratic country we also can predict that they will have some politician to incite nationalism from the public to support the course on seizing land or islands from its polite neighbour country. Now we should ask quite a few SERIOUS question to those group which call themselves as NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA, I think three question should be enough,
The rights to bear arms in the NEW CHINA
Small government or big government in the NEW CHINA
Freedom of speech in the NEW CHINA
Let's say we talk with 10k fans of the NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA in GETTR, then based on my understanding of CHINA and ASIA culture, on the first question I doubt how many would allow citizens of NEW CHINA to own firearms ?? I guess less than half will agree that the citizen on the NEW CHINA had the right to bear arms.
Then at the second question, I also believe that most of those fans of the NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA will say we would build a clean and less corrupt central government. They would not support the idea of small government because they often trap in a mind set which government should actively reach out to the people. However this kind of mentality is the main reason why the government is growing at a fast speed and becoming a corrupt monster which demands more power and sucks the wealth of people.
Finally, at the last question, I also have a pathetic view on this issue on freedom of speech. From the past until now, CHINA history always full with the story about people been kill or buried alive just because they say something which make the Emperor / King / President not happy. Therefore, I also doubt how many of the fans of the NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA would support freedom of speech once they really hold the power of government.
WE need different platform to receive information
After two years of life on the constant lies on the virus or the vaccine I believe that we need alternative social network sites to prevent misinformation. However we also need to be careful of the new enemy which uses the new platform to hide their real intention.
