Imagine you as a passenger who doesn't know what happened between People Republic China (PRC) and Republic of China (ROC). Then you buy flight tickets from China Airlines and prepare to go to Taipei from Singapore.
In the morning you take the train from the city and reach the airport. Once you get off the train you take a glance at the TV screen and see that Air China at T1. At this moment you mistakenly view Air China as China Airlines. Moreover, you don't have big luggage for check in so you don't need go to the counter.
Then you are tech savvy so you decided to use e-boarding. Once you reach the departure gate, you show the APO e-boarding pass and proceed to enter the transit area. Since you assume that you got plenty of time you decided to walk around and eat around. When the time comes, you decide to walk to the gate.
Then now shit thing happened, you realized that the e-boarding pass show the gate at A15 side, but now you at D gate area. So now times to release you beast mode so you run like hell towards the A15. Although you know that was sky train service but you already panic so you just start to run. In the end, you managed to reach the gate, but the ground staff say that the gate closed but the flight just in front of you and not yet left. Therefore you beg to enter the flight, but the ground staff just tell you that sorry sir captain already decided to offload you.
Congratulations to you, you become a victim of an unfinished imagination community project. Now you start to question why Taiwanese don't call themselves airlines as Taiwan Airlines. Then you start reading and try to understand what shit thing happened in the past and the contemporary world. 100 years ago, in this world not people will call themselves Malaysian, Singaporean, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Laos, Croatian. Now the time of building Taiwanese myth and ideology is growing strong since those who are holding China ideology are dying in Taiwan society. But will Taiwanese make a bold move? Time will tell us 🤪, and we maybe will see blood on the street.
