Since the PAS left the Pakatan Rakyat, the whole party is marching on the way to transform the whole Malaysia into a TOTAL ISLAMIC state. They want to ban all non-halal business in the name to prevent Muslim corrupt by other culture. In an easy way to understand what they are trying to do, they are trying to push the kelantan model to other states and urge us to follow it.
Now the question is how should non-muslim react to this kind of Muslim expansionism? I would say we are very passive while facing our freedom being encroached by those religious fanatics. The best way to fight back those Muslim expansionism is to maximize non-muslim freedom.
PAS like to use the reason of certain area population are majority muslim therefore in that area they want to promote Islamic law. In the last few month, some PAS MP advocate that some area in Selangor is Muslim majority area therefore in that area they should be not alcohol selling. In order to fight back this kind of religion law above personal freedom, we should organise a Oktoberfest in a non-muslim majority area but we should only invite adult to enter. If a Muslim adults want to join we would welcome him or her because every adult have the right to drink a beer.
Besides banning alcohol in Muslim majority area, we also see PAS want to banning lottery at Muslim majority area. I think lottery business in Malaysia is quite old fashion because you need to visit the shop and queue up to buy the number you want. The advocate on banning the lottery can consider it a good move because now is the time to legalise sport betting. The federal government should allow non-Muslim to own sport betting company and operate it at non-Muslim majority area. Then again all sport betting companies would allow adults to bet on the market. The reason is simple, adults have the responsibility of their life and whatever they do they need to swallow the consequences of it.
Thirdly would be a topic about women, if anyone believes that PAS pushes for gender equality I would suggest that he/she go and see a mental doctor. PAS also advocates for banning any form of beauty contest regardless if the participants is female or shemale. The reason they use to justify their action is they believe that women should remain in cover and cannot be exposed to other male. Since they want to banning women to have a career in model stage, then we as non-Muslim should open new market for women. The federal government should allow non-Muslim to run brothel in non-muslim majority area. If a Muslim female want to become prostitute then the owner for brothel should not stop it because every adults have the responsibility of their life and whatever they do they need to swallow the consequences of it.
In my point of view, I always believe that the most dangerous government agency in Malaysia is JAKIM. The reason is simple, because this agency can use religion to control any adults as long as their are Muslim. A police officer cannot order anyone to wake up at a certain time or eat what kind of food, but a JAKIM officer can tell millions of people what time to wake up to perform religious prayer and to eat what kind of food in their daily life. Therefore, the best way to keep Malaysia in a secular state and stoping Muslim expansionism disturb our life we should start to tell those non-Muslim MP to stop funding JAKIM and restructured JAKIM as a federal agency which don’t have any office at any local level. Making JAKIM as a federal agency means that they only can do their report at the federal level and restrict their activity at federal areas and they should not come to municipal areas to disturb common people's activity.
While you are reading my article, maybe you would think I am insane to promote this kind of idea which may lead to disintegrate society. Now I want to make my stand clear, EVERY ADULTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE THEIR LIFE, IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A DEVOUT FOLLOWERS THAT IS YOUR CHOICE AND PLEASE DON’T PUSH IT TO OTHER’S PEOPLE.
